Matisse Blue - $75 CAD - Beads included in this set: Origami beads with floral patterns; handmade impasto paper beads painted with colours based on “The Piano Lesson” by Matisse; aventurine triangles, polished riverstone, Picasso stone, Montana blue glass beads, tree agate chips; and white opal star shine Swarovski crystal bicones. Length on the inside is 24 inches and the pendant drop is 3.5 inches.
I have two sets of matching impasto bead earrings that would complement this necklace, so if you are interested scroll up to the earrings and view those. I don't make the earrings to match exactly as I think that looks too contrived, but I use coordinating beads and some of the same stones to pick the colours and shapes up enough to make a lovely set.

|  | Matisse Impasto Earrings
These are based on a painting by Matisse called The Piano Lesson. I wanted to try out an impasto technique for beads and paint in an impressionistic way. I happened to be looking through an art book that week and saw this painting and loved the colours.
Mat1 - $12 CAD - Dyed blue/purple fossil beads and orange cat's eye beads complement the colours in these impasto beads; silvertone ear hooks. Length 40 mm.
Mat2 - $14 CAD - Some of the softer blue and grass green from the painting combined with Montana blue matte glass cubes, and iris green and teal beads; silvertone ear hooks. Length 45 mm.
Mat3 - SOLD - The tones in this one remind me of rain and water. I've combined them with Montana blue glass disks, and sapphire blue glass beads, aqua bugle beads and large triangles of Aventurine; silvertone ear hooks. Length 77 mm.
